Dual-slot USB 3.0 card reader
This compact adapter adds SD and microSD slots to any computer with a USB 3.0 port. It reads and writes both cards at the same time, removing the need to swap media repeatedly. The device is powered entirely from the USB connection and requires no driver installation on Windows, macOS, Linux or Chrome OS. Photographers and mobile workers can transfer files directly from two cards in one step.
USB 3.0 5 Gbps interface limits
The USB 3.0 link caps sustained throughput at 5 Gbps, so actual transfer rates depend on the cards used and whether both slots are active. Simultaneous access to both cards shares the available bandwidth, which can reduce per-card speed compared with single-card operation. The reader supports cards up to 512 GB capacity, but does not accelerate cards beyond their own rated performance.
Replaces single-slot USB 2.0 readers
Users moving from a single-slot USB 2.0 reader gain a second card slot and roughly ten times the interface bandwidth. The upgrade is worthwhile when workflows involve copying from two cards at once or when moving large video files that saturate the older 2.0 link. If only one card is ever used and file sizes are modest, the older reader remains adequate.

Questions about this item
Should I pick a single-slot or this dual-slot reader?
This model has both an SD and a microSD slot so you can read or write to two cards at once without swapping.
What does the 5Gbps rating mean for my transfers?
It is the USB 3.0 bus ceiling; real-world speed depends on the card and drops when both slots are active.
Does the USB 3.0 plug limit the 512G capacity claim?
No, the 512G figure is the maximum card size the reader supports; the USB 3.0 link only governs transfer rate.
