Expansion Kit for Ambient Lighting

This Corsair iCUE LS100 expansion kit adds two 250 mm RGB LED strips to an existing smart lighting setup. It is intended for PC builders and enthusiasts who want to extend diffused illumination beyond the case interior. The white diffuser silicone cover softens the output for a continuous glow across surfaces.

Passive Operation and Mounting

The strips draw power from the parent controller and have no active cooling, so they run silently and add negligible load to the system. Magnetic fasteners with adhesive backing secure the strips to metal panels, while nine metal plates and two cable-management clips keep wiring tidy during installation.

Requires Existing iCUE LS100 Starter Kit

This product only functions when connected to a Corsair iCUE LS100 starter kit; it cannot operate as a standalone lighting solution. Buyers who do not already own the matching controller and base strips will not be able to use this expansion.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 250 mm strips using the magnetic plates and adhesive tape?

Peel the adhesive backing from each metal plate, press it firmly onto the surface, then snap the strip onto the plate — the step people miss is cleaning the surface first so the adhesive bonds properly.

Will the white diffuser silicone on the strips need replacing over time?

The diffuser is a permanent part of the strip housing; it does not wear out or require replacement, so no maintenance is needed for the light-diffusing cover.

How many 250 mm extensions can I chain before the iCUE software hits its device limit?

iCUE supports up to 100 individually addressable LEDs per channel; each 250 mm extension adds LEDs, so the practical limit depends on the total LED count of your entire LS100 chain.
