Corsair K95 RGB Platinum mechanical keyboard

The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum is a wired mechanical gaming keyboard built on a black aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum frame. It uses 100 percent Cherry MX RGB Speed switches with a 1.2 mm actuation point for rapid response. Per-key RGB backlighting and 19-zone LightEdge illumination provide extensive customisation. Six dedicated G-keys allow in-game macro assignment, while a USB pass-through port adds convenient connectivity for a mouse or headset.

Competitive players wanting ultra-fast actuation

This keyboard suits gamers who prioritise the shortest possible actuation distance and dedicated macro keys for competitive play. The detachable dual-sided wrist rest supports long sessions. Buyers who prefer a compact tenkeyless layout or quieter switch types should consider other options. The 8 MB onboard profile storage holds up to three profiles for use without external software.

Cherry MX Speed switches with 1.2 mm actuation

The defining specification is the Cherry MX RGB Speed switch, which actuates at 1.2 mm for faster keystroke registration than standard mechanical switches. This short travel distance benefits fast-paced gaming but may feel overly sensitive for heavy typists. The keyboard connects via USB 2.0 and requires two USB ports on the host PC for full functionality including the pass-through port.
