Two-Step Steel Stool for Household Tasks

This Cosco folding step stool uses a steel frame with two ribbed, slip-resistant steps. It supports a 200 lb duty rating and meets ANSI Type III light-duty household standards. The Opti-Bond powder-coated finish resists scratches while non-marring legs and back glides protect floors. A built-in handle allows easy carrying between rooms.

Fits Tight Spaces and Stores Flat

When open the stool measures 17.38 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 28.13 inches high for a comfortable working height. Folded it collapses to just 2.75 inches deep so it slides into narrow gaps beside cabinets or inside closets. No assembly is required and the continuous rear-leg support adds stability on hard surfaces.

Suits Occasional Indoor Reach Needs

Homeowners and renters who need a lightweight, portable step for changing bulbs, reaching shelves or painting trim will find this model practical. It is not intended for commercial job sites, frequent heavy use or tasks that demand a higher duty rating or more than two steps.

Questions about this item

Will the 200 lb duty rating hold up if I use the stool every day?

The ANSI Type III light-duty household rating is tested for 200 lbs; daily use within that limit is what the standard covers.

Does the steel frame get hot or make noise after being open for hours?

Powder-coated steel does not generate heat or sound; the ribbed treads and non-marring glides stay quiet and cool during extended use.

What do I need to assemble the 11135CLGG1 before the first climb?

The stool ships fully assembled — just unfold the 17.38 in wide frame, lock the rear legs, and it is ready at 28.13 in working height.
