Single-fan ARGB cooler
The COUGAR VORTEX VK 120 is a 120mm case fan with hydro-dynamic bearing and 5V addressable RGB lighting. It fits standard 25mm mounting points and connects via a 3/4-pin PWM power header plus a 3-pin ARGB connector. The black frame houses 18 ARGB lamp beads visible from front, inner and outer sides. It targets builders who want synchronised lighting and adjustable airflow in one unit.
Fixed-speed or non-ARGB fans
This model replaces basic fixed-speed fans that lack PWM control or RGB integration. The jump is worth it when the motherboard offers a 5V ARGB header and software such as ASUS AURA SYNC, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync or ASRock Polychrome. Without a 5V ARGB header the lighting cannot be synchronised, and without a PWM header the speed range cannot be automated.
48.98 CFM airflow at 1500 RPM
At maximum speed the fan delivers 48.98 CFM with 1.04 mmH2O static pressure while producing 29.8 dBA. The PWM range of 600 to 1500 RPM ±200 RPM lets the system balance noise and cooling automatically. It handles typical chassis ventilation and moderate radiator restriction comfortably. Very dense fin stacks or high-static-pressure radiators may exceed its pressure capability.

Questions about this item
Will the 120 mm frame and 25 mm thickness fit my case's standard fan mounts?
Yes, the fan uses a standard 120 mm square frame and 25 mm thickness, matching typical case and radiator mounting holes.
How do I connect the 4-pin PWM and 3-pin 5 V ARGB cables to my motherboard?
Plug the 4-pin header into a PWM fan header for speed control and the 3-pin 5 V ARGB connector into a 5 V ARGB header; do not use a 12 V RGB header.
When should I expect to replace the hydro-dynamic bearing fan?
The hydro-dynamic bearing is rated for long life; replace the fan if noise rises above 29.8 dBA or airflow drops below 48.98 CFM.
