Ready-to-game desktop with RTX 3060 12GB

The COUGAR Battleship is a new gaming desktop built around an Intel Core i5-8500 processor and an EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 12GB of video memory. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 system memory and a 256GB NVME solid-state drive for the operating system and games. The system is housed in a black COUGAR Purity RGB case with one RGB case fan and powered by an EVGA 650W supply.

12GB GPU memory for texture-heavy titles

The defining specification is the RTX 3060 equipped with 12GB of dedicated video memory. This capacity allows the card to hold high-resolution texture packs and larger frame buffers at 1440p without swapping to system RAM. Buyers who need more VRAM for professional rendering workloads or 4K gaming with maximum texture settings should look at cards with larger memory buffers.

650W PSU handles CPU and GPU load

The EVGA 650W power supply provides headroom for the 65W i5-8500 and the RTX 3060 under combined gaming loads. The single RGB case fan in the Purity RGB chassis moves air across the motherboard and graphics card during typical sessions. Acoustic output stays low at idle and rises to a moderate level when both processor and graphics card sustain high utilisation.

Questions about this item

What frame rates can the RTX 3060 12GB deliver in modern games at 1080p?

The RTX 3060 12GB targets high settings at 1080p, typically reaching 60-plus frames per second in current titles, with the 12 GB buffer helping texture-heavy scenes.

Which PCIe generation does the ASRock B365M-HDV motherboard provide for the RTX 3060, and what bandwidth does that allow?

The B365 chipset links the GPU through PCIe 3.0 x16, giving roughly 16 GB/s of bandwidth, which the RTX 3060 12GB uses without saturation at 1080p.

Will the COUGAR Purity RGB case and EVGA 650 W PSU accommodate the EVGA RTX 3060 12GB and its power connectors?

The case fits dual-slot cards of typical length, and the 650 W unit includes the 8-pin PCIe connector the EVGA RTX 3060 12GB requires.
