What the combo includes

The COUGAR Deathfire EX is a wired gaming keyboard and mouse set that connects over USB. The keyboard uses hybrid mechanical switches rated for 20 million keystrokes and offers 19-key rollover anti-ghosting. The right-handed optical mouse delivers a 2000 dpi sensor with on-the-fly DPI switching and a 1000 Hz polling rate for 1 ms response time. Both devices feature eight RGB backlight effects in black housings.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Competitive players who need reliable key registration and adjustable mouse sensitivity will benefit from the anti-ghosting and on-the-fly DPI. The hybrid switches suit typists who want mechanical feel without full mechanical cost. Buyers who require per-key RGB customisation, dedicated macro keys, wireless freedom or a left-handed ergonomic shape should consider other options.

The specification that decides fit

The keyboard’s hybrid mechanical switches with 19-key rollover determine whether the typing and gaming feel matches your expectation. If you need full N-key rollover or individual switch replacement, this combo will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

How loud are the hybrid mechanical switches and mouse clicks during extended gaming sessions?

The keyboard uses hybrid mechanical switches rated for 20 million keystrokes with anti-ghosting on 19 keys, while the mouse features OMRON micro switches for tactile clicks.

Does the combo need any extra software or drivers to work on Windows 10?

Both devices connect through USB and operate on Windows 7, 8 and 10 without additional drivers; on-the-fly DPI and polling-rate changes are handled by hardware buttons on the mouse.

Will the 1.6 m cables reach my rear motherboard ports on a full-tower case?

The keyboard and mouse each have a 1.6 m USB cable, which typically reaches rear ports on mid- and full-tower chassis when routed behind the motherboard tray.
