Rotatable pump head and 240 mm radiator

The COUGAR Poseidon Elite ARGB 240 is an all-in-one liquid cooler with a copper cold plate and an aluminium radiator that spans 240 mm. Two 120 mm ARGB fans mount on the radiator and connect through a 2510 4-pin PWM header. The pump head rotates so the logo orientation can be adjusted after installation. The package includes 400 mm tubing for routing flexibility.

Motherboard headers and clearance before ordering

Verify that the motherboard provides a 5 V 3-pin ARGB header and a 4-pin PWM fan header for the pump and fans. Confirm the case can accommodate a 240 mm radiator with 120 mm fan slots and that the 82.9 x 73.3 x 50.7 mm pump block clears surrounding components. The 400 mm tube length limits placement to positions within that reach.

Sustained load behaviour and acoustic profile

Under continuous load the fans operate between 500 and 2200 RPM, delivering up to 62.53 CFM airflow at a static pressure of 2.4 mmH2O. The rated noise level reaches 33.5 dB(A) at maximum speed. The copper block transfers heat into the aluminium radiator where the dual fans dissipate it steadily, keeping temperatures stable during extended workloads.

Questions about this item

Does the Cougar Poseidon Elite ARGB 240 include mounting hardware for my CPU socket, or must I buy a separate bracket kit?

The cooler ships with all required mounting hardware for current Intel and AMD sockets, plus the 240 mm radiator, two pre-installed 120 mm ARGB fans, and 400 mm tubing. No extra bracket purchase is needed.

Should I pick the 240 mm version or a larger radiator size for my build?

This model is offered only in the 240 mm radiator size with two 120 mm fan slots. If your case supports a 240 mm radiator and you want the rotatable pump head with 5V ARGB lighting, this is the version to choose.

What does the 62.53 CFM airflow rating mean for actual CPU temperatures?

At 500-2200 RPM the two fans deliver 62.53 CFM each with 2.4 mmH2O static pressure, moving enough air through the aluminum radiator to handle mainstream and high-end CPUs while staying at 33.5 dB(A) max noise.
