The Creative BT-W6 is a USB-C Bluetooth 5.4 audio transmitter designed for listeners who want wireless streaming from computers, consoles or mobile devices. It supports both Classic Bluetooth and LE Audio broadcast modes for one-to-one or one-to-many connections. Buyers needing analog inputs or a built-in battery will not find them here.

Capacity and headroom

The transmitter streams up to 24-bit 96 kHz resolution using aptX Lossless on compatible headphones, with additional support for aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX and SBC codecs. Gaming Audio Profile delivers latency as low as 20 ms for responsive playback. Performance scales with the codec capability of the paired receiving device.

What the bundled accessories or software change

No physical accessories are included in the package. The Creative App provides EQ customisation and codec selection with LED indication on the transmitter itself. Firmware updates and profile adjustments are handled through the same software interface.

Questions about this item

Will the BT-W6 work with my older headphones that only support standard Bluetooth and not LE Audio?

Yes, it uses Classic Bluetooth 5.4 and supports SBC codec for broad compatibility with legacy headphones.

How can I verify the transmitter is using aptX Lossless at 24-bit 96 kHz after pairing?

The multifunction button cycles through codecs and the LED indicates which one is active, so you can confirm the selected codec visually.

What accessories are included with the BT-W6 and what must I provide?

The transmitter itself is supplied; a USB-C host port on your PC, console or mobile device is required for power and audio input.
