Wireless Circumaural Headset for Extended Sessions

The Creative Zen Hybrid Pro EF1040 is a Bluetooth circumaural headset designed for listeners who want active noise cancellation and very long battery life from a single charge. It connects wirelessly or through the supplied USB-C cable and weighs 282g.

Commuters and Office Workers Seeking Quiet.

The headset suits users who need up to 100 hours of playback with ANC off or 80 hours with ANC on, plus an ambient mode for awareness. Buyers who require a purely passive analogue connection without any digital processing should look elsewhere.

100-Hour Battery Life Decides the Purchase

With ANC disabled the headset delivers up to 100 hours of operation, dropping to 80 hours when noise cancellation is active. That single figure determines whether the Zen Hybrid Pro matches a workflow built around multi-day use without recharging.

Questions about this item

How long will the 100-hour battery last if I keep ANC on?

With ANC on the rated life drops to 80 hours, still far above a typical work week.

Does the USB-C port carry audio or just charge the headset?

The USB-C connector is listed for charging only; audio runs over Bluetooth.

Will the 0.8 m cable reach from my desk to my ears comfortably?

The 0.8 m cord is a short charging lead, not an audio cable, so reach is not a factor.
