12 oz cast-aluminium scoop

The Crestware AS12 is a 12 oz cast-aluminium scoop designed for portioning dry or wet ingredients in commercial and home kitchens. Its silver finish and single-piece construction suit repetitive scooping tasks where a lightweight, rigid tool is preferred.

Sustained use in wet and dry prep

The non-reinforced handle and cast-aluminium body resist bending during continuous portioning of heavy batters, ice or bulk grains. Because the scoop is not autoclavable and carries no NSF or FDA compliance markings, it is not suited for environments that mandate certified food-contact equipment or high-temperature sanitising cycles.

Limits of uncertified aluminium utensils

Without NSF certification or FDA compliance the scoop cannot be used in regulated food-service operations that require documented material safety. The absence of autoclavability also rules out sterile-processing workflows, so buyers needing verified sanitation standards must select a certified alternative.

Questions about this item

How much heat can the 12 oz aluminum scoop withstand during continuous kitchen use?

The cast aluminum construction handles typical cooking temperatures, though the product is not autoclavable and has no specific heat rating listed.

What mounting or attachment hardware is needed to use the Crestware AS12 scoop?

No extra hardware is required; the non-reinforced handle is designed for direct hand use right out of the box.

Will the silver cast aluminum scoop react with acidic ingredients in older cookware?

Bare aluminum can react with highly acidic foods, so consider a coated alternative if that is a concern with your existing pots.
