Crown 1500 Two-Channel Amplifier

The Crown 1500 is a two-channel power amplifier rated at 450 W RMS per channel, built for live sound reinforcement. It suits front-of-house engineers, touring technicians and venue operators who need reliable output in a compact rack unit. The dark grey chassis fits standard professional installations.

Sustained Output Performance

Under continuous demand the amplifier maintains its 450 W per channel rating without thermal shutdown, allowing extended sets at full power. Protection circuitry monitors temperature and load to prevent damage during prolonged high-level operation. It is not intended for installations requiring more than two channels or higher per-channel wattage.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise does the Crown 1500 produce when running at its 450W RMS rating all day?

The amplifier delivers 450W RMS per channel continuously, so sustained full-power operation will generate noticeable heat and fan noise typical of a 1500-class live-sound amp.

What speaker impedance and cabling do I already need to connect to the Crown 1500's two channels?

Each channel provides 450W RMS; you must supply speakers rated for that power at the correct impedance and suitable speaker cables for the amp's output terminals.
