Light-Blocking Drapes for Bedrooms

These 52x72 inch blackout drapes come as a pair of panels made from 100% polyester with a triple-weave construction. They deliver 85%-95% light blocking so bedrooms stay dark for daytime sleep or home-theatre use. Silver metal grommets measuring 1.6 inches in diameter slide onto standard rods without tools. The fabric is wrinkle-resistant and machine washable on a cold gentle cycle.

Upgrade from Thin Curtains

Replacing sheer or single-layer curtains with this triple-weave set cuts heat and cold transfer through the window, which can lower energy bills. The same density absorbs 30% or more of outside noise, a noticeable improvement over unlined panels. Buyers who need total 100% blackout for shift work or photography will find the 85%-95% range insufficient and should consider a dedicated 100% blackout line instead.

Sustained Thermal and Acoustic Performance

Under continuous summer sun or winter drafts the triple-weave fabric maintains its insulating barrier rather than degrading after a few hours of exposure. The polyester resists UV damage, so furniture behind the drapes stays protected from fading over months of daily use. Machine washing on cold and light steaming keep the panels functional without tumble drying or bleach, preserving the noise-reducing density wash after wash.
