1.7 L Electric Kettle for Tea and Coffee

The Cuisinart JK-17P1 is a cordless electric kettle built for anyone who wants boiling water quickly for tea, hot cocoa or a French press. Its 1.7 litre capacity and 1500 watt element suit households that need several cups at once. The stainless steel interior and exterior keep the water tasting clean.

360° Swivel Base and Removable Filter

The kettle rotates on a 360 degree connector base so left-handed and right-handed users can lift it easily. A concealed heating element reduces mineral buildup, while the removable scale filter catches deposits before they reach the cup. A dripless pour spout with splash guard and a stay cool nonslip handle make serving safer and cleaner.

1500 W Fast Boil With Auto Shutoff

The single specification that decides suitability is the 1500 watt power rating, which brings a full 1.7 litres to a boil rapidly. Buyers who need variable temperature settings or a keep warm function will not find those features on this model. Auto shutoff with boil dry protection adds peace of mind during busy mornings.

Questions about this item

How often should I clean the removable scale filter on the JK-17P1?

Clean the filter whenever mineral deposits become visible; the mesh screen lifts out and rinses under running water in seconds.

What stops the kettle from boiling dry if I forget to switch it off?

Built-in boil-dry protection cuts power automatically once the 1.7 L capacity is empty, preventing damage to the concealed element.

Does the stainless-steel body get too hot to touch during a full-day keep-warm cycle?

The lift-off base stays cool on work surfaces and the stay-cool nonslip handle remains comfortable, though the metal walls will feel hot while water is heating.
