12 Inch Silicone Locking Tongs

These 12 inch silicone locking tongs suit home cooks who need a reliable tool for turning, lifting and serving food. The commercial quality stainless steel construction handles daily kitchen tasks while the patented locking pull mechanism secures the arms for compact storage.

Heat resistance and material limits

The non-stick silicone ends withstand temperatures up to 575°F or 300°C, making them safe for use with hot pans, grills and baking trays. The stainless steel body resists corrosion but the silicone tips can degrade if exposed to direct flame or temperatures beyond the stated limit.

Check your cookware and storage space

Verify that your non-stick or enamel cookware is compatible with silicone utensils to avoid surface damage. Ensure the 12 inch length fits your utensil drawer or holder when the locking mechanism is engaged, and confirm the green colour matches your kitchen aesthetic.

Questions about this item

Is the 12 inch length right for both cooking and serving?

The 12 inch length keeps hands clear of heat while reaching deep pots, and the silicone ends grip food securely for plating.

What does the 575°F heat rating mean when I am searing or flipping?

The silicone tips withstand 575°F (300°C) so they will not melt or degrade during high-heat searing, grilling or frying.

How does the patented locking pull mechanism work in practice?

A simple pull on the handle locks the tongs closed for compact storage, and a push releases them for immediate use.
