Starter gaming desktop

The Odyssey Nova V2 pairs an Intel Core i5-8500 6-core processor with a GeForce RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6 graphics card. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe solid-state drive handle multitasking and fast load times. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

B365 platform limits

The B365-PLUS motherboard locks the CPU to its stock 3.0GHz base and 4.1GHz turbo frequencies with no overclocking headroom. Memory runs at standard DDR4 speeds on two slots, capping simple upgrades at the installed 16GB. The 550W power supply leaves little margin for a significantly larger graphics card.

RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6

The 6GB frame buffer is the single spec that decides fit: it covers 1080p eSports and many current AAA titles at medium settings, but struggles with high-resolution textures or heavy ray-tracing workloads. Buyers who need more video memory for 1440p gaming or professional rendering should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Which configuration should I choose for 1080p gaming on a budget?

The i5-8500 with 16 GB DDR4, 1 TB NVMe SSD and RTX 3050 6 GB GDDR6 is the single configuration offered, giving a balanced 1080p experience out of the box.

What does the 4.1 GHz turbo mean for everyday gaming?

The six-core i5-8500 lifts from 3.0 GHz to 4.1 GHz under load, keeping frame rates steady in eSports titles and playable in lighter AAA games.

How does the B365 motherboard limit the NVMe and GPU?

The B365-PLUS chipset runs the NVMe SSD at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds and the RTX 3050 at PCIe 3.0 x16, so neither component is bottlenecked by the interface.
