Fits 12 Current Era Comics

This black wood frame holds twelve current era comic books measuring 7.25" x 10.5" published after 1985. An acid-free black mat and nesting foam keep each issue secure and properly aligned. The overall frame dimensions are 29" x 50.5" with a .75" moulding width. It includes UV resistant acrylic, foam board backing, and hanging hardware for immediate display.

UV Acrylic Protects Long-Term

The UV resistant acrylic front shields comics from light damage during sustained wall display. Acid-free matting and foam backing prevent yellowing or acid migration over extended periods. Nesting foam holds books firmly in place without pressure on spines or corners. Materials are chosen for archival safety rather than short-term visual appeal only.

Verify Comic Dimensions First

Confirm your books match the 7.25" x 10.5" current era size before ordering. Older or variant formats will not fit the pre-cut mat openings or nesting foam. Ensure the 29" x 50.5" overall footprint suits your available wall space. The frame weighs enough to require secure mounting into studs or appropriate wall anchors.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 0.75 inch wood moulding generate when the frame hangs in direct sunlight all day?

The wood moulding and UV acrylic do not generate heat; they simply shield the 12 comics from sunlight without any power draw.

What mounting hardware must I already own to hang this 29 by 50.5 inch frame securely?

The frame includes wall hanging hardware, so you only need basic tools such as a drill, level and appropriate wall anchors for the mounting surface.

Will the acid-free mat and nesting foam safely hold older Silver Age comics that are slightly larger than 7.25 by 10.5 inches?

The mat openings are cut for current-era comics measuring 7.25 by 10.5 inches, so older books that exceed those dimensions will not fit properly.
