Handcrafted Golden Age Comic Frame

This solid-wood frame displays four Golden Age comic books measuring 7.75" x 10.5" in a 2x2 grid. The black finish and acid-free white mat suit home or office decor. Handcrafted in the USA, it includes UV-resistant acrylic, foam board backing, nesting foam, an easel stand and wall-hanging hardware. Comic books are not included.

Four-Slot Capacity With Nesting Foam

Each opening fits a single comic published between 1938 and 1956, while the supplied nesting foam holds each book snugly in place. The moulding width is 0.75" and the overall frame measures 21.5" x 27", so wall space must accommodate those dimensions. Collectors needing to display more than four issues will require additional frames.

UV Acrylic Protection Limits

The UV-resistant acrylic front reduces fading from ambient light, though it does not eliminate all ultraviolet exposure over long periods. Acid-free matting and foam board backing guard against acid migration, but the frame is not sealed against humidity or temperature swings. Direct sunlight and damp environments should still be avoided to preserve paper quality.

Questions about this item

Will the 21.5"x27" black wood frame sit flush beside my existing 20"x25.5" frames?

The outer dimensions are 21.5"x27", so it will be slightly taller and wider than 20"x25.5" frames; plan a small gap or stagger the layout for a balanced look.

How can I confirm the UV acrylic is protecting my comics after I hang the frame?

The acrylic ships with a protective film on both sides; once removed, the surface is clear and rigid, and comics behind it will not yellow from normal indoor light exposure.

Does the package include everything needed to mount the 2x2 grid on the wall, or must I buy hanging wire separately?

The box contains the wood frame, acid-free white mat, nesting foam, UV acrylic, foam board backing, easel stand and wall hanging hardware — no extra parts are required for mounting.
