Comic Frame for Golden Age Collectors

This solid wood frame holds four Golden Age comic books measuring 7.75"x10.5" in a 2x2 grid. The black finish and acid-free black mat provide a modern look for home or office display. Handcrafted in the USA, it arrives with UV resistant acrylic, foam board backing, nesting foam, easel stand, and wall hanging hardware. The comic books themselves are not included.

UV Acrylic Protection Limits

The UV resistant acrylic front shields comics from harmful light exposure that causes fading over time. Acid-free matting and foam board backing prevent chemical damage to paper and ink. Nesting foam secures each book firmly in its opening without pressure on the cover. The frame is designed for indoor wall or tabletop use only.

Four-Book Capacity and Fit

Overall dimensions are 21.5"x27" with a .75" moulding width, sized precisely for the 7.75"x10.5" format published between 1938 and 1956. The fixed four-opening layout cannot accommodate larger Silver Age or Modern comics, nor can it display a different number of books. Collectors needing to show more than four issues or different sizes will require additional frames.

Questions about this item

How many comics fit in each layout option?

The frame holds four Golden Age comics in a fixed two-by-two grid; there are no alternative opening counts.

What does the overall 21.5 by 27 inch size mean for wall space?

The finished frame measures 21.5 inches wide by 27 inches high, so allow at least that much clear wall area plus a little clearance for the hanging hardware.

What protection does the UV acrylic give against fading?

The UV-resistant acrylic front filters harmful ultraviolet light, slowing colour fade on comics published between 1938 and 1956 while keeping the view clear.
