Black Comic Frame for Golden Age Issues

This solid-wood frame with a black finish displays four Golden Age comic books published between 1938 and 1956. The unit measures 39 by 15.5 inches overall and includes acid-free white matting, UV-resistant acrylic, foam board backing, nesting foam, an easel stand and wall-hanging hardware. Comics are not included.

Fits 7.75 by 10.5 Inch Comics

The critical specification is the window size: each of the four openings accepts a comic measuring exactly 7.75 by 10.5 inches. Books outside those dimensions will not sit correctly behind the mat, so verify your issues match the Golden Age format before purchasing.

Holds Four Comics with Nesting Foam

The frame comfortably accommodates four standard Golden Age issues held securely by the supplied nesting foam. It does not accept additional books, thicker variants or larger Silver Age formats, and the single-row horizontal layout offers no room for expansion beyond the four openings.

Questions about this item

How much wall space does the 39" x 15.5" frame actually cover?

The overall dimensions are 39 inches wide by 15.5 inches high, so it occupies that exact rectangle on your wall.

What protection does the UV resistant acrylic give the comics?

The acrylic front filters ultraviolet light to reduce fading and yellowing of the Golden Age pages over time.

How deep is the 0.75" moulding and will it clear the nesting foam?

The moulding is 0.75 inches wide; the included nesting foam sits inside that depth to hold each comic securely.
