Silver Frame for Golden Age Comics

This solid wood frame with a silver finish holds four Golden Age comic books published between 1938 and 1956. Each opening fits a comic measuring 7.75 by 10.5 inches. The frame includes acid-free white matting and nesting foam to secure the books. It is handcrafted in the USA and intended for collectors who want to display their comics on a wall or shelf.

Wall Mounting and Display Options

The frame measures 39 by 15.5 inches overall with a moulding width of 0.75 inches. It ships with both an easel stand for shelf display and wall hanging hardware for vertical mounting. Foam board backing provides rigid support behind the comics. No additional mounting accessories are required to hang or stand the frame.

UV Acrylic Protection

A UV resistant acrylic front shields the comics from light exposure that can cause fading over time. The acrylic is lighter and more shatter resistant than glass, reducing the risk of damage if the frame is knocked. No power or climate control is needed; the frame relies on passive protection from the acrylic and acid-free materials to preserve the comics.

Questions about this item

Will the UV-resistant acrylic prevent fading if the frame hangs in a sunlit room all day?

The UV-resistant acrylic front is designed to block harmful ultraviolet light, helping protect the comic books from colour fading during prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Does the solid wood frame become noticeably warm or emit any odour when displayed continuously?

The wood moulding and acrylic glazing do not generate heat or odour; they remain at ambient room temperature and are inert once hung on the wall.

Is the included hanging hardware compatible with standard drywall anchors, or do I need special mounts?

The supplied wall-hanging hardware works with common picture hooks or drywall anchors rated for the frame's 39 by 15.5 inch size.
