Silver Frame for Golden Age Comics

This solid wood frame with a silver finish displays four Golden Age comic books published between 1938 and 1956. Each opening measures 7.75 by 10.5 inches and sits behind a black acid-free mat. The overall frame size is 21.5 by 27 inches with a moulding width of .75 inches. Handcrafted in the USA, it includes UV resistant acrylic, foam board backing and nesting foam to hold each book securely.

Capacity and Headroom

The frame holds exactly four comics in a 2x2 grid, matching the standard Golden Age dimensions of 7.75 by 10.5 inches. Acid-free matting and UV resistant acrylic protect paper from yellowing and light damage. Nesting foam keeps each book flat without pressure marks. Larger Silver Age or Modern comics will not fit these openings.

Wall Ready with Stand Option

Keyhole hardware on the back allows direct wall mounting in portrait orientation. An easel stand is also supplied for shelf or desk display. No tools beyond a hammer and nail are required for hanging. The frame ships without comics, so you supply the collection.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.75" moulding width and 21.5"x27" overall size sit flush against my existing gallery rail hooks?

The frame measures 21.5" wide by 27" high with a 0.75" moulding depth; standard picture hooks or the included saw-tooth hanger will support it flush to the wall.

How can I verify the UV-resistant acrylic is actually protecting my 7.75"x10.5" Golden Age comics after hanging?

The acrylic ships with a protective film on both sides — peel it off and you will see a clear, glare-free surface that blocks UV light; no yellowing means it is working.

Does the package contain everything needed to mount the 2x2 grid frame, or must I buy hanging wire separately?

The box includes the silver wood frame, black acid-free mat, UV acrylic front, foam board backing, nesting foam, easel stand and wall-hanging hardware — no extra purchases required.
