Portable USB speaker bar for laptops

The Cyber Acoustics CA-2880 is a compact speaker bar powered entirely by a USB connection. It attaches to a laptop screen via an integrated clip or sits on a desk for immediate audio upgrades. A carry pouch is included for transport.

Dual 1.5-inch neodymium drivers

Two 1.5-inch neodymium full-range drivers deliver the audio output. The bar connects through a 3.5 mm audio cable and draws power from a standard USB port. A built-in volume knob and LED power indicator provide direct control.

Steady output for extended sessions

USB power limits the maximum volume ceiling compared to mains-powered units. The driver configuration maintains consistent clarity during long movies or music playlists without thermal throttling. Bass response remains modest due to the compact enclosure size.

Questions about this item

How loud do the 1.5" drivers actually sound on a typical laptop?

The two 1.5-inch neodymium drivers draw power from USB and deliver full-range audio that is noticeably louder and clearer than built-in laptop speakers for movies and music.

What does the 3.5mm audio connection limit compared with a digital link?

The analogue 3.5mm cable carries stereo sound only; it does not support surround formats or digital processing, so you hear exactly what the source outputs.

Will the 2.50-inch depth fit on a thin ultrabook lid?

The bar is 2.50 inches deep and clips to the top frame; it fits most laptops but very thin models may not have enough clearance for the clip.
