USB-powered 3-port Gigabit Ethernet switch splits one PC port into two 10/100/1000Base-T connections, wall-mountable with included USB cable
This CyberData 011236 switch draws 5 V DC from a PC USB port to split one Gigabit Ethernet connection into three RJ-45 ports. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T on twisted-pair cabling and operates at Layer 2 without management features. The compact wall-mountable enclosure measures 1.1 by 3.8 by 2.8 inches and weighs 3.20 oz. A USB A-to-B cable is included for power.
Three Gigabit ports provide full 1000 Mbps throughput per link for typical desktop or laptop expansion. The unmanaged Layer 2 design forwards traffic automatically with no configuration required. Power comes exclusively from the host USB port, so total switch consumption must stay within that port’s current limit. No PoE or redundant power input is available.
Replaces a single built-in Ethernet port when a user needs two additional wired connections for docking stations, IP cameras or a small wired segment. The jump is worthwhile when USB power is convenient and managed features such as VLANs or link aggregation are not required. Buyers who need more than three ports, PoE output or rack-mount hardware should consider larger switches.

Yes, the three RJ-45 ports support 10/100/1000Base-T and will auto-negotiate down to 10 or 100 Mbps for legacy devices.
The unit draws 5 V DC from the USB port; when the USB cable is connected to a live port the switch powers on and the port LEDs show link and activity for each active 10/100/1000Base-T connection.
The box contains the 3-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch and a USB A-to-B cable, so no separate power cable purchase is required.
