Metered 14-Outlet PDU

The CyberPower PDU15M2F12R distributes 120V 15A power to fourteen NEMA 5-15R receptacles from a single NEMA 5-15P input. A front LCD shows real-time current draw in amps for immediate load awareness. The unit fits standard rack environments with horizontal or vertical mounting options and a 15-foot cord. Industrial-grade metal housing and ETL/RoHS certification support demanding datacentre deployments.

15A Circuit Limit

Total connected equipment must not exceed 15 amps at 120 volts, a hard ceiling set by the input plug and overload protection. The unfiltered pass-through delivers raw utility power without conditioning or surge suppression. Monitoring is read-only; the LCD reports load but cannot shed outlets or alert remotely. Buyers needing filtered power, remote switching or higher amperage service will need a different class of unit.

Fourteen Outlets at 15A

Fourteen NEMA 5-15R ports give dense outlet count for multi-device racks, yet the 15-amp budget is shared across all of them. Typical server gear drawing one to two amps each fits several units before headroom vanishes. High-draw appliances such as heaters or large UPS chargers will saturate the circuit with only one or two loads. Plan the aggregate load before populating every receptacle.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 14-outlet version or a different capacity?

This unit provides exactly 14 NEMA 5-15R receptacles. If your rack needs more or fewer outlets, you would need a different model.

What does the 15 A rating mean once the PDU is installed?

The 15 A rating is the maximum total current the PDU can supply to all 14 outlets combined. Exceeding it will trip the built-in overload protection.

How does the NEMA 5-15P input limit what I can plug in?

The NEMA 5-15P plug connects to a standard 120 V 15 A wall circuit, so the PDU cannot draw more than that circuit allows.
