Environmental Sensor for UPS Monitoring

The CyberPower SNEV001 is an environmental sensor module designed for UPS monitoring and management. It connects to a compatible RMCARD to provide real-time temperature and humidity data. System administrators and data-centre operators use it to track rack conditions. It is not suited for standalone operation without a supported management card.

Integration via RJ45 Daisy Chain

Two RJ45 Ethernet ports allow up to eight sensors to be daisy-chained from a single RMCARD connection. The module draws 12V power directly from the card, so no separate supply is needed. Four dry-contact inputs accept signals from door alarms, security switches or similar devices. Builds lacking an RMCARD or free RJ45 ports cannot use this sensor.

Temperature and Humidity Coverage

Temperature is reported in Fahrenheit or Celsius across a range of 14°F to 158°F with ±0.9°F accuracy, or -10°C to 70°C with ±0.5°C accuracy. Humidity readings cover 10% to 90% RH with a ±2% margin. Environments exceeding these limits or requiring tighter tolerances will need additional instrumentation.
