Oil-Resistant Gasket Sealant 2.8 oz
This DAP 00754 silicone sealant comes in a 2.8 fl oz tube and is formulated for ceramic, fiberglass, glass, metal, plastics, porcelain and rubber. It resists oil and water while withstanding temperatures from -40 to 350 °F. The black compound reaches full cure in 24 hours at room temperature.
Surface preparation and application limits
Ensure the joint surfaces are clean and dry before applying the sealant. The product offers a 10 minute working time once dispensed. Do not apply when the substrate temperature exceeds 140 °F. Note that the material contains a chemical listed under California Proposition 65 as a reproductive hazard.
Replaces worn gaskets and seals leak paths
Use this sealant to renew deteriorated gaskets or to seal flange connections that weep oil or coolant. The jump is worthwhile when the original gasket material has hardened, cracked or no longer conforms to the mating surfaces. It is not suited for structural bonding or for gaps that exceed the design allowance of a formed gasket.
