24-port Layer 2 switch with 16 SFP and 8 combo 10/100/1000BASE-T/SFP ports, 88 Gb/s switching matrix and 65 Mpps forwarding rate
The D-Link DGS-3120-24SC-RI is a managed Layer 2 switch designed for aggregation or core deployment. It provides 16 dedicated SFP ports and 8 combo ports supporting 10/100/1000BASE-T or SFP transceivers. Two stacking ports and an SD-card slot add expansion and configuration flexibility. A console port enables direct CLI management.
Organisations requiring 10 GbE uplinks or Power over Ethernet will not find those interfaces here. Buyers who need Layer 3 routing, VXLAN or EVPN fabric features should evaluate a different platform. Environments without rack-mount space or redundant power infrastructure cannot use the DPS-200 option.
The switch delivers a non-blocking 88 Gb/s internal matrix and a 64-byte packet forwarding rate of 65 Mpps. A 2 MB packet buffer absorbs burst traffic while 32 MB flash stores firmware and logs. Physical stacking reaches 40 Gb/s across up to six units.
