Product Identity

The D-Link DGS-3120-48PC is a 48-port Layer 3 managed Gigabit switch designed for networks that require both data connectivity and Power over Ethernet. It suits administrators deploying VoIP phones, wireless access points, or IP cameras across a mid-sized infrastructure.

Installation Notes

The unit ships with power cords and rack ears for standard cabinet mounting. Configuration is performed through the management interface after a factory reset. Buyers who need out-of-band console access or redundant power supplies should verify those features independently as they are not detailed here.

Capacity and Limits

The switch provides 44 PoE ports and 4 combo ports for fibre uplinks, with a total PoE budget of 370W. This budget comfortably powers many Class 3 devices but will limit the number of Class 4 endpoints that can run simultaneously. Networks requiring higher aggregate PoE delivery will need additional switches or a model with a larger power budget.
