Purpose and fit

The Daewoo DTPM-01 mat sits on top of a washer or dryer to protect the surface from dust and scratches. It suits households that use the appliance top as a temporary folding or storage area. The 23.6 by 19.7 inch pad can be trimmed to fit smaller machines.

Material limits

The diatom mud layer absorbs light moisture but is not a spill containment barrier; large volumes of liquid will soak through to the appliance. The rubberised underside grips smooth metal or enamel tops yet may slide on highly polished or wet surfaces. Heavy objects left on the mat can leave permanent indentations in the soft filler.

Deciding spec

The single specification that determines fit is the 23.6 by 19.7 inch footprint; measure your appliance top before ordering. If the machine top is larger, the mat will not cover the full area. If it is smaller, you must cut the pad yourself.

Questions about this item

The mat measures 23.6 by 19.7 inches (60 by 50 cm) and can be trimmed to fit smaller appliances.

How well does the diatom mud surface handle water in daily use?

The material is waterproof and absorbent, so splashes stay on top and the surface dries quickly.

Will the rubber bottom keep the mat from sliding on a metal washer lid?

Yes, the soft rubber underside grips the top firmly and prevents items on the mat from shifting.
