This 13-inch hunting knife features an 8-inch hand-forged Damascus steel blade with a 7-inch cutting edge and clip point profile. The twist-pattern blade is forged from 1095 and 15N20 high and low carbon steel across 465 layers and heat-treated to 56-58 HRC. It is suited for hunters, skinners and collectors who want a traditional fixed-blade tool with a distinctive pattern-welded finish.

High-Carbon Steel Maintenance Requirements

Damascus and 1095 high-carbon steel will rust if not cared for properly. The blade must be cleaned and oiled or waxed after each use, and cooking oil is acceptable for this purpose. WD-40 can remove accidental rust spots. Long-term storage in the leather sheath is not recommended because leather absorbs moisture and promotes corrosion on the blade surface.

Fixed Blade with Belt Sheath Installation

The knife ships with an extra-thick cowhide leather sheath that includes a belt loop for carry. No assembly is required beyond securing the sheath to a belt. The main risk is storing the knife inside the sheath for extended periods, which traps moisture against the high-carbon steel and causes rust. Keep the blade clean, lightly oiled and stored outside the sheath when not in active use.
