The Damascus Depot Tanto is a folding knife built with a 3.5 inch blade and a 7.5 inch overall length. It uses a liner lock mechanism for secure blade retention during use. The handle features green and orange Razon sheet scales with a Damascus steel bolster. A thick cowhide leather sheath with a belt loop is included for carry.

3.5 Inch Blade Capacity

The 3.5 inch Damascus steel blade provides a 3 inch cutting edge suited for general camp tasks and everyday cutting chores. The steel is forged from 1095 and 15N20 high and low carbon layers hardened to 56 to 58 HRC. This hardness offers good edge retention but the high carbon content means the blade will rust without consistent maintenance. It is not a stainless steel tool for wet neglect.

Liner Lock and Carbon Steel Care

The liner lock secures the blade open but is not rated for heavy prying or batoning tasks that exceed folding knife limits. The Damascus steel requires drying and oiling after each use to prevent corrosion. Leather sheaths absorb moisture so the knife must not be stored long term in the supplied sheath.
