A 1940s Psychological Thriller on PC

Loretta is a downloadable adventure game for Windows that casts the player as a complicit observer to a housewife's unravelling in the rural American south. The narrative centres on betrayal, infidelity and a life-insurance motive that spirals into player-directed depravity. It is built for adults who want a story-driven, choice-heavy experience rather than action or reflex gameplay.

Steam-Only Activation and Account Required

The code redeems exclusively through the Steam client, so a free third-party Steam account and an internet connection are mandatory before play can begin. No physical media or alternative DRM-free installer is supplied, and the licence remains bound to that Steam library. Offline play is only possible after the initial online activation and any required updates have completed.

Mature Narrative With Branching Outcomes

The single defining specification is the game's focus on player-authored moral descent through dialogue choices and object interactions that determine whether the story ends in deceit or murder. Buyers seeking traditional puzzles, combat mechanics or a light-hearted plot will not find them here; the experience is a dark, branching psychological drama inspired by film noir and 1940s Americana.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Steam code or another version of Loretta?

The product is supplied as a Steam Online Game Code, so activation and play require a Steam account on PC.

What does the 1940s setting mean for the actual gameplay?

The story places Loretta in a rural southern farmhouse during the socially tumultuous 1940s, where dialogue choices and object interactions determine how far her depravity spirals.

How does the Steam DRM affect launching and playing the game?

Activation uses a third-party Steam account; once redeemed the title is tied to that library and launches through the Steam client.
