Smart RGB Mechanical Keyboard

The Das Keyboard 5QS is a second-generation gaming keyboard equipped with Gamma Zulu mechanical switches. It features per-key RGB illumination and programmable smart lighting that can display system alerts or game events. The board connects via USB and targets enthusiasts who want tactile feedback with visual customisation.

Suited for tactile switch fans

Gamers and typists who prefer a distinct actuation point will appreciate the Gamma Zulu switch design. Users needing dedicated macro keys, wireless connectivity, or a compact layout without a number pad should consider other models. The full-size form factor also demands more desk space than tenkeyless alternatives.

Straightforward USB setup

Installation requires plugging the keyboard into an available USB port; the device is recognised immediately by the operating system. Advanced lighting profiles and API integrations are configured through the Das Keyboard Q software, which must be downloaded separately. Some users report initial driver detection delays on certain Linux distributions.
