1-Gang Low Voltage Cable Plate

DataComm Electronics DC450008 is a two-pack of recessed wall plates designed for routing low voltage cables behind flat panel displays or audio equipment. The plates provide a clean pass-through for HDMI, speaker wire or network cabling in residential and light-commercial installations.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive cable management accessory the plate generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws no electrical power. It adds no thermal load to the wall cavity and requires no external supply or active cooling in normal use.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DataComm DC450008 recessed cable plate behind a flat-panel TV and what step is commonly missed?

Mount the bracket to the wall stud, pull low-voltage cables through the recessed opening, then snap the cover plate on; the step often missed is securing the bracket firmly before routing cables.

What maintenance or replacement will the DataComm DC450008 cable plate need over time?

The plate itself requires no maintenance; replacement is only needed if the plastic cracks from impact or if you remodel and need a different gang size.
