Purpose and Audience

The Datalogic QD2220-BKK1 is a new barcode scanner kit designed for point-of-sale environments. It suits retailers and system integrators who need a ready-to-deploy scanning solution at the counter. The kit format simplifies procurement for single-station or multi-lane rollouts.

Deciding Specification

The unit weighs 0.3000 kg, making it a lightweight handheld device for continuous daily use. This mass determines comfort during high-volume scanning shifts and influences mounting or holster choices. Buyers should verify that the weight aligns with their ergonomic requirements and workstation layout.

Capacity and Limits

First listed by the manufacturer in 2026, the model 2220 represents a current-generation entry in the QuickScan I line. It handles standard 1D barcode workflows typical of retail checkout lanes. The scanner is not intended for long-range scanning, high-density 2D codes or ruggedised industrial environments.
