Compatible Thermal-Transfer Ribbon

The Dataproducts R3197 is a thermal-transfer ribbon designed for calculators and similar printing devices. It delivers black and red output on a single spool for clear, two-colour records. The cartridge fits compatible machines without modification. Office staff and retail operators can install it quickly during routine supply changes.

Low-Impact Consumable Operation

Thermal-transfer printing requires no liquid ink or toner dust, so the ribbon runs cleanly with minimal residue inside the mechanism. Power draw is limited to the printer’s own printhead heating elements. Noise stays at the level of the host device’s normal mechanism sound. The ribbon advances only when the printer commands a line, keeping wear predictable.

Snap-In Cartridge Build

The ribbon is housed in a self-contained cartridge that snaps into the printer’s dedicated compartment. No loose spools or threading are required, reducing the chance of misfeeds. The black/red colour split is pre-aligned on the ribbon web, so the printer switches colours automatically. Replacement takes seconds when the ribbon is exhausted.
