Stainless steel wire rope thimbles protect 1/16 in rope loops, pack of 25
This Dayton wire rope thimble protects the eye of a 1/16 inch rope from wear and deformation. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in marine and outdoor environments. Each pack contains 25 pieces for rigging multiple lines or maintaining spare inventory. It is suited for lifting applications where a durable, plain-finish thimble is required.
Install a new thimble when the existing loop shows flattening, cracking or elongation that compromises rope strength. The upgrade is worth it whenever a safety inspection flags damaged hardware or when re-terminating a line for a different load. The open-end design allows quick insertion without specialised pressing tools.
Confirm the working rope measures exactly 1/16 inch so the thimble groove seats correctly without pinching or excessive play. Check that the 15/16 inch overall length and 5/8 inch overall width fit the available space on your shackle, hook or anchor point. Ensure the 1/32 inch wall thickness meets the load rating required for the specific lift.

The thimble is made for 1/16 in wire rope. Its inside wall width is 3/16 in and loop inside width is 3/8 in, so the rope seats correctly in the groove.
Slide the rope into the open end, form the eye, then swage or clamp the sleeve. Do not hammer the thimble itself; the thin 1/32 in wall will deform if struck directly.
Inspect each thimble before every lift. Replace any piece that shows elongation of the 5/8 in loop inside length, cracks in the 1/16 in wall height, or corrosion pitting on the plain finish.
