Mechanical line-voltage thermostat opens on temperature rise from -10 to 100 °F

  • Mechanical line-voltage control covers -10 to 100F
  • Heat-only operation suits simple heating circuits
  • Steel construction resists wear in tough settings
  • Open-on-rise action cuts power when temperature climbs
  • Dayton brand backs reliable temperature regulation

Dayton 2E815 line-voltage thermostat

The Dayton 2E815 is a mechanical line-voltage thermostat that opens on temperature rise. It covers a range of -10 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and is built for heat-only control in industrial or commercial settings.

Steel construction handles steady cycling

A steel body resists the expansion and contraction that comes with daily heating cycles. The mechanical switch operates without external power, so it keeps working during voltage fluctuations that would stall electronic controls.

Replaces older mechanical stats on same voltage

Swap this in when an existing line-voltage thermostat drifts out of calibration or the contacts wear. The jump is worth it if the old unit cannot hold the -10 to 100 degree span or if the housing has corroded.

Questions about this item

Does the 2E815 thermostat consume noticeable power or create noise when it runs continuously?

The mechanical switch draws negligible power and operates silently with no fan or electronic components.

What wiring or supply voltage must already be in place for the 2E815 to function?

A line-voltage circuit matching the heating load is required; the thermostat interrupts that circuit directly.

Will the 2E815 work with an older heating system that uses a millivolt gas valve?

No, the 2E815 is designed for line-voltage switching only and is not compatible with millivolt systems.
