A line-voltage mechanical thermostat that closes on temperature rise across a 30 to 90 °F range with a remote sensing bulb
The Dayton 2NNR5 is a mechanical line-voltage thermostat designed for cooling applications where a remote sensing bulb monitors temperature and closes a single SPST switch on temperature rise. It suits installers and maintenance teams who need a non-programmable controller for direct line-voltage switching.
The thermostat operates with a single-pole single-throw switch that closes when the sensed temperature rises, covering a control range from 30 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit with a 3.5 degree differential and a sensitivity of 3 degrees. Remote sensing capability is built in and the bulb is included for mounting away from the main unit.
Under sustained load the contacts carry 16 amps at 120 volts AC and 8 amps at 240 volts AC across the full 24 to 600 volt AC rating, allowing continuous operation in cooling circuits without derating for short bursts. The mechanical design maintains consistent switching through repeated cycles at these ratings.

The control dial sets the temperature at which the switch closes on rise. Once the remote bulb senses the set point between 30 and 90 degrees F, the contact closes to start cooling equipment.
The switch handles up to 600 VAC. At 120 VAC it carries 16 amps full load; at 240 VAC it carries 8 amps full load. Do not exceed these voltage or current values.
The case measures 4-1/2 inches high, 2-1/2 inches wide and 2-1/2 inches deep. Allow that footprint plus wiring space when mounting the thermostat.
