Dayton 22 mm Push Button Enclosure

The Dayton 32W279 is a single-hole plastic enclosure rated NEMA 4 and 4X for indoor or outdoor industrial use. It accepts one 22 mm push button or pilot light head and is listed to CSA, IEC and UL standards. The grey housing measures 1.98 in high by 2.68 in wide by 2.91 in deep with a 1/2 in conduit entry. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for cancer and reproductive harm.

Capacity and headroom

The enclosure provides one mounting position for a compatible RP2B operator or 22 mm push button head, so it covers a single control point. It does not accommodate multiple operators, larger cut-outs or additional conduit entries beyond the single 1/2 in opening. Installations that require several buttons, indicator lights or a higher density of controls will need a larger enclosure with more holes.

Thermals, noise and power

As a passive plastic housing the unit generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no electrical power in normal operation. Thermal performance depends entirely on the installed operator and the surrounding ambient conditions. The NEMA 4X rating ensures the enclosure resists corrosion and water ingress without active cooling.
