Dayton 35XE94 web sling for vertical lifting
The Dayton 35XE94 is a single-leg, flat-eye web sling made from one-ply nylon webbing. It is built for rigging crews and maintenance teams who need a lightweight, flexible connection for vertical, choker or basket hitches. The yellow colour aids visual inspection on busy job sites. It meets ASME B30.9, OSHA and WSTDA requirements.
Vertical hitch capacity 600 lb
The decisive figure is the vertical hitch rating of 600 lb. In a choker configuration the capacity drops to 1,200 lb, while a basket hitch raises it to 3,200 lb. Selecting the wrong hitch type will exceed the sling’s rated limit and create a safety hazard. Always match the hitch to the load before rigging.
Handles light machinery and pipe bundles
At four feet long with a one-inch width, the sling comfortably lifts small motors, valve assemblies and bundled conduit. It runs out of capacity on heavier structural steel, large pressure vessels or any load that approaches the 600 lb vertical limit. For those lifts a higher-capacity sling or a multi-leg arrangement is required.

Questions about this item
What does the 1,600 lb vertical hitch capacity mean when I rig this sling in a real lift?
It is the maximum load you can apply in a straight vertical pull with the flat eyes seated correctly; exceeding it risks failure.
Which standards govern the Type 3 flat-eye construction and what do they cap in practice?
ASME B30.9, OSHA and WSTDA set the design, inspection and safe-use limits for this nylon web sling.
What hardware or clearance does the 8 1/2 in eye length need to fit or mount?
Each flat eye measures 8 1/2 inches, so the hook, shackle or master link must accept that width without binding.
