Type K thermocouple probe with ungrounded tip, mini plug, and six-inch cable for air, gas, or liquid measurement from -325 to 2,280 °F
The Dayton 36GL13 is a Type K thermocouple probe with an ungrounded junction designed for measuring air, gas or liquid temperatures. It features a 1/8 in by 6 in probe with dual 1/4 in and 1/8 in MNPT fittings and a 6 in cable terminated in a mini plug for direct connection to compatible instruments.
Rated from -325 to 2,280 degrees Fahrenheit (-200 to 1,250 degrees Celsius), the probe maintains accuracy across extended exposure to extreme heat or cryogenic conditions. The ungrounded construction reduces electrical noise and prevents ground-loop errors during long monitoring sessions in industrial control systems.
This probe replaces damaged Type K sensors or upgrades installations that require the mini-plug interface and dual-thread mounting flexibility. The jump is worthwhile when an existing probe has drifted out of calibration or lacks the thread options needed for a secure seal in the process line.

The probe itself produces no heat; it only senses temperature up to 250 °C and 280 °F without adding thermal load.
A standard Type K mini jack is required; the probe terminates in a miniature flat-pin plug that fits that jack.
Yes — both are Type K, so the voltage curve matches, but the ungrounded tip isolates the signal from electrical noise that grounded sensors pick up.
