A vertical float switch with piggyback electrical connection turns the motor on at an 8 in water level and off at 3 1/2 in. It is built for residential basements or crawl spaces where automatic water removal is required.

Switch and flow performance

The piggyback plug lets the float switch control power without rewiring the outlet. Flow rates are 16 gpm at 5 ft of head, 11 gpm at 10 ft, and 6 gpm at 15 ft, with a maximum shut-off head of 20 ft. The polypropylene body, polyamide impeller and carbon-ceramic shaft seal handle clear water drainage duties.

Installation notes

The pump needs a sump pit at least 10 in diameter to accommodate the 8 3/4 in body and vertical float travel. A 1-1/4 in male discharge threads onto standard pipe or hose.
