Heavy-duty shaft arbor mounts buffing and finishing wheels on fractional-horsepower motors with a 1/2-inch shaft
This Dayton 3ZN12 arbor mounts buffing and finishing wheels onto electric motors with a 1/2 in shaft. The heavy-duty machined-washer design suits smaller fractional-horsepower units in workshop and maintenance settings. A socket setscrew locks the assembly securely to the shaft.
The arbor uses a left-hand 1/2 in-20 thread with a 2 1/4 in thread length and includes a hex nut and machined washers. Maximum wheel width is 1 11/16 in and the washer outside diameter is 1 1/2 in. Clockwise shaft rotation is required for the thread to self-tighten during operation.
As a passive mechanical component the arbor generates no heat, noise or electrical load. Thermal and acoustic performance depends entirely on the motor and wheel combination selected by the user. Overall length is 6 1/4 in for compact mounting on smaller motors.
