Thermal overload relay protects motors from 0.63 A to 1 A with auto or manual reset
The Dayton 6ECA7 is a thermal overload relay designed for industrial motor-control panels. It protects three-phase circuits by interrupting the contactor coil when current exceeds the set threshold, making it suitable for maintenance engineers and panel builders wiring IEC-style starters.
The adjustable dial covers 0.63 A to 1 A and the unit carries a Trip Class 10 rating to IEC 60947-4-1. One normally-open and one normally-closed auxiliary contact provide status feedback to the control circuit.
The relay mounts directly to the contactor and dissipates heat through its 3.62 in deep body without forced airflow. Auto and manual reset modes are selectable, and the device is UL Listed and CSA certified for panel use.

It means the relay will trip to protect the motor if the current exceeds 1 A, with a minimum setting of 0.63 A for finer adjustment.
The relay complies with IEC 60947-4-1, CSA and UL Listed requirements, ensuring its thermal trip Class 10 performance meets recognised industrial safety and coordination rules.
The relay body measures 1.73 in wide, 1.85 in high and 3.62 in deep, with an overall height of 2.5 in when mounted directly on the contactor.
