Thermal overload relay protects motors with 2.5 to 4 A trip range and Trip Class 10 response
This IEC-style thermal overload relay protects three-phase motor circuits with a current setting range of 2.5 A to 4 A. It mounts directly to a contactor for compact panel layouts. The unit carries Trip Class 10 response and meets IEC 60947-4-1, CSA and UL Listed standards.
The transparent body measures 3.62 in deep, 1.85 in high and 1.73 in wide, allowing visual inspection of internal components. Direct-to-contactor mounting reduces wiring time and saves DIN-rail space. Auto and manual reset modes give maintenance flexibility after a trip event. Auxiliary contacts provide 1NO and 1NC signalling for control circuits.
Thermal trip behaviour follows Class 10 timing, so sustained overloads near the 4 A upper setting will disconnect within the defined curve. The fixed 2.5 A to 4 A range cannot cover motors outside this band, requiring a different relay for higher or lower current applications. No NEMA size rating applies, so interchangeability with NEMA-class starters is not assured.

It uses Trip Class 10, which limits the maximum tripping time to 10 seconds at 7.2 times the set current, giving faster motor protection than higher classes.
The relay measures 1.73 in wide, 1.85 in high and 3.62 in deep, and mounts directly to the contactor without a separate base.
A selector on the front switches between Auto and Manual reset; the common error is leaving it in Auto when a manual restart is required after a trip.
