Industrial Motor Starter Enclosure

The Dayton 6FZJ4 is a steel enclosure rated NEMA 4 for protecting motor starters in industrial environments. It is designed for use with Dayton IEC contactors and suits automation panels that require a degree of protection against splashing water and windblown dust.

NEMA 4 Rating Determines Suitability

The single specification that decides fit is the NEMA 4 enclosure rating. This rating confirms the housing is constructed for indoor or outdoor use where falling dirt, rain, sleet, and hose-directed water are present, making it the critical filter for this application.

Compact Dimensions Define Internal Capacity

The enclosure provides an internal volume bounded by 4.72 inches in width, 5.11 inches in depth, and 7.32 inches in height. This footprint comfortably houses a single IEC starter assembly but offers no headroom for additional large components or complex multi-starter configurations.
