Compact SPDT Limit Switch
The Dayton compact limit switch uses a top-mounted roller plunger to detect mechanical position in industrial and automation equipment. Its single-pole double-throw contacts switch both AC and DC circuits at 10 A and 300 V, making it suitable for control panels, safety interlocks and machine sequencing. The miniature body fits tight enclosures where full-size switches cannot be accommodated.
Electrical and Environmental Limits
The switch carries a NEMA 1 rating, so it is intended for indoor use where falling dirt is the primary concern. Contact ratings are fixed at 10 A @ 300 V for both AC and DC, and the SPDT form provides one normally-open and one normally-closed path without additional poles. No boot seal is fitted, so the actuator is not protected against moisture or heavy contamination.
Mechanical Build and Mounting
The body measures 2.41 in high, 1.12 in wide and 1.01 in deep, with a 1.51 in actuator length that positions the roller for cam or dog engagement. Surface mounting holes allow direct attachment to panels or brackets without a separate base. The roller plunger reduces friction and wear compared with a plain plunger, extending service life in repetitive actuation cycles.

Questions about this item
Should I choose a top-roller or side-roller version for my mounting layout?
This switch has a top-mounted roller actuator, so select it when the cam or lever approaches from above the switch body.
What does the 10 A @ 300 V rating mean when the switch is installed in a control panel?
The contacts can safely carry up to 10 amperes at 300 volts AC or DC, so size wiring and fuses for that maximum load.
How does the NEMA 1 rating limit where I can mount this limit switch?
NEMA 1 provides indoor protection only; do not use it where water, oil, dust or corrosive agents are present.
