SPDT Top-Roller Limit Switch
This Dayton enclosed limit switch uses a single-pole double-throw contact block rated at 15 A for both AC and DC circuits at 480 V. The horizontal top-mounted roller lever measures 1.56 in and actuates inside a miniature body sized 1.76 in high, 3.39 in wide and 1.01 in deep. It carries a NEMA 1 rating and mounts on a flat surface for indoor position-sensing tasks.
Sustained Load Behaviour
The contacts maintain their 15 A rating continuously at 480 V without a separate derating for duty cycle, so the switch handles repeated actuation in conveyor or machine-tool sequences. The unsealed roller lever and NEMA 1 enclosure suit clean, dry environments where debris or moisture are not present.
Replaces Basic Snap Switches
The switch upgrades from a simple snap-action switch when an adjustable roller lever and enclosed housing are required for consistent trip points. It is not suited for applications needing a sealed actuator, higher NEMA protection or a different lever geometry.

Questions about this item
Does the Dayton SPDT limit switch generate noticeable heat or noise when it cycles continuously at 15 A?
The switch is a passive electromechanical component with no active cooling or moving parts beyond the roller lever, so it produces negligible heat and no audible noise during normal operation at its 15 A rating.
What wiring and mounting hardware must I already have to install this top-roller limit switch?
You need a surface with two mounting holes matching the 3.39 in by 1.01 in body footprint, plus suitably rated wire and terminals for 15 A at up to 480 V AC or DC to connect the SPDT contacts.
Will the 1.56 in roller lever clear the same cam profile used with my older NEMA 1 miniature limit switches?
The 1.56 in actuator length and top-mounted roller lever match the form factor of many legacy NEMA 1 miniature switches, so existing cam profiles will typically engage without modification.
